What is infrared heat?
Infrared heat is “radiant” heat. Radiant heat is in the form of energy that heats objects directly through a process called conversion, without having to heat the air in between. Radiant heat is also called far infrared energy (FIR). Infrared rays in the electromagnetic spectrum cannot be seen, but are felt as heat. Like sunshine, you feel the heat, but you can’t actually see the rays. FIR is part of the natural spectrum of sunlight, minus the UV rays and other visible colors.
Your body can absorb FIR because of its deep penetrating ability. When FIR penetrates the skin, it transforms light energy into heat energy. The thermal effect within the deep layers of tissues cause blood vessels in capillaries to dilate, promoting better blood circulation, and the heat produced helps to rid your body toxins and metabolic wastes by causing you to sweat.
Far infrared energy also stimulates the dilation of peripheral blood vessels, bringing oxygen to joins and extremities, relaxing stiff muscles, and even speeding the healing of sprains and strains. The increased blood flow helps aching and injured muscles recover faster because of the stronger blood flow and the quicker metabolic and toxic waste production being purged from your body by sweating.

It’s all about the science. A FIT Bodywrap uses a dual action process to get rid of excess fat in your body. Before starting your FIT Bodywrap, you have the option of the applying the FIT Booster – a special proprietary spray designed to increase the effects of the bodywrap.
What if I don’t sweat during my session? Will I still receive benefits?
Absolutely! Even if you don’t sweat during your session, you will still receive the many benefits of the FIT Bodywrap. Sweating is affected by your age, gender, genetics, diet, fitness level, and number of sweat glands. It is highly likely that with continued use of the FIT Bodywrap, your sweat production will increase. If you know you are someone who doesn’t readily sweat, we recommend using the FIT Booster spray. How do I prepare for my session?
Drink plenty of water and avoid excessive caffeine prior to your session. Most people will sweat a lot during their session so you should plan on bringing comfortable clothes to change into after your session or allow time to use our showers afterwards. Please review our waiver. To save time, we encourage you to print and fill out our waiver and bring it with you to your appointment.
How long does each client’s session take?
The client will have 10 minutes to prepare themselves for the FIT Bodywrap session. The FIT Bodywrap session is approximately 60 minutes long.
What parts of the body can be targeted?
The FIT is a full body wrap; from the neck to toe. Due to the bodywrap’s shape, your body is fully covered to reduce the amount of cold spots. During the session, you can personally adjust the level of heat within 4 different zones consisting of arms, abdomen, hips and legs.
How do I achieve optimum results?
Can a FIT Bodywrap really make my skin better?
Yes, the far infrared energy in a FIT Bodywrap increases blood circulation to carry great amounts of nutrients into your skin (promoting a healthy skin tone and texture), while flushing waste and impurities out of the skin.
