roseoil

Our seasonal massage this month is rose oil and I couldn’t be happier about it! I absolutely LOVE the smell of roses and find it to be pretty nostalgic. Even better – rose oil isn’t just a pretty smell, you can also find tons of benefits in it! The scent of rose is so uplifting and has been used to relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression for many years. Some other ways rose oil has been known to help:

  • Ease inflammation
  • Soothe headaches (with proper dosage)
  • Regulate hormone production
  • Protect against viral infections
  • Ease digestive troubles
  • Improve skin quality; diminish appearance of scars, stretch marks, wounds
  • Boost libido
  • Ease symptoms of menopause; cramps, fatigue, pain, nausea
  • Topically treat acne

*Because Rose oil has an affect on hormones, it should not be used during pregnancy.

*Ame uses certified organic essential rose oil for our rose oil massage

March’s Spotlight is on Ame Spa Technician, Janice Stein!

About Janice: I have been a Spa Technician (facials, massage, nails, waxing – I do it all!) at Ame Salon and Spa for over five years. I am a tri-athlete and most recently I participated in the Iron Girl Triathlon. My husband and I have a great passion for travel. We just went to Thailand this past September and it was an amazing journey; one of our most favorite vacations this far. During our down time, we love spending time with our pug, Zeus – aka our baby.

Favorite Product: I love Vinylux polish – it dries quickly and lasts longer than most polishes!

Best Kept Tip: Anytime my muscles are sore and always after a long run, I soak in my tub with epsom salts. It speeds up recovery, soothes my muscles, and feels great!
