All of us at Ame are so appreciative of your patience and loyalty in the past 3 months. We cannot thank you enough!

We have taken extensive measures to make sure Ame’s sanitation protocols are more than up to the standards of the CDC guidelines.

Please know the safety of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance. Our emotions are running high and we are so excited to see everyone. Ame’s Safety Commitment

Ame Salon and Spa is committed to the safety of the Ame Family which includes our guests, employees, partners, and friends. This is a challenging and uncertain time for the professional beauty industry, and we are committed now more than ever to take every precaution to ensure our salon and spa is immaculate, disinfected, clean and safe for your visit.

Appointments are Now Required

Appointments are required for every appointment. Online booking is temporarily suspended.

  • No walk-ins permitted
  • A credit card is required to reserve the appointment when booking the appointment. Our Salon/Spa software provides the highest level of security in storing credit card information. The stored credit card information will then be used to check out your services on the day of the guest’s appointment.
Payments and Gratuities
  • Ame only accepts the Ame Gift Cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and checks as forms of payment. No cash payments are permitted. No change will be made at the front desk.
  • Cash gratuities are accepted. The guest will utilize the envelope and lockbox system we have in the Color Café. Venmo is also available to provide gratuities.
Cancellation Policy

Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all our guests. If a guest needs to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, please offer as much notice as you possibly can (Ideally, we would like 48 hours notice).

To further support our guests, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. However, Ame reserves the right to enact our cancellation policy if a guest no shows without reason or cancels frequently.


Due to the way we are structuring our appointments, if a guest is more than 5 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate their appointment and a SSC will call the guest to reschedule.

The Loft is closed for the summer.

  • Additional staffing is put in place to meet the additional sanitation requirements.
  • As required by the PA Governor’s office, Ame will be operating at 50% occupancy. All of our salon and spa stations have been reconfigured to accommodate a safe, six feet apart to limit as much contact as possible. The rule of thumb is one guest out, one guest in.
Our Guest’s Commitment to Ame

To keep our guests and employees safe, we ask all guests to:

  • Refrain from visiting the salon/spa if you or a household member has a fever, COVID-19 symptoms or a communicable illness.
  • Refrain from visiting the salon/spa if you under an isolation or quarantine order/directive.
  • Only bring to your appointment what is absolutely such as your keys, phone, and wallet in a small bag that you will keep with you at all times. Handbags, jackets, and other items should remain in your car.
  • All guests must wear a cloth mask at all times during their appointment at Ame.
  • Practice social distancing as much as possible.
  • Please do not wear gloves to Ame. We will be having your wash your hands or apply hand sanitizer several times during your visit. If you feel more comfortable with gloves on, we will provide you with a clean pair.
  • Ame will not be serving any beverages or snacks. Please bring in your own beverage in a water bottle or coffee in a travel mug.
    • It is allowed for an Ame employee to fill up the guest’s water bottle with water.
  • It was necessary for us to remove all of the magazines, books, and any non-essential paper products. Feel free to bring your own reading material.
  • We request that you leave any loved ones, friends that are not getting an appointment at the same time at home.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • If you have to cough, please cough into a tissue, then thoroughly wash your hands.
  • We want Ame to be your sanctuary where you can relax and forget about any stresses. Be mindful of those around you and avoid talking about politics or current events.
Touch Up Plus Fee
  • Due to the unusual length of time between color services, the stylist may need to add extra time to their appointment, schedule additional future appointments, and/or apply extra color needed to reach the desired result of the color appointment.
  • If extra color is necessary, a Touch-Up Plus $20 fee will be added.
Spa Appointments
  • Guests will be getting changed in their private treatment room (instead of our locker area). If a guest is receiving multiple services, the service provider may provide a robe and slippers to the guest to travel to a different room.
  • The showers are not available to our guests.
  • For Pedicure services, the guests may bring in their own flip-flops.

On the Day of the Appointment:
  • Remember to bring your Ame Personal Salon/Nail Tool Kit to your appointment cleaned and disinfected.
  • No guests will be permitted inside Ame until invited in by an Ame Salon and Spa Salon and Spa Coordinator (SSC).
  • Guests will remain in their car and then text Ame (610-995-2631) to communicate their arrival.
  • Guest will receive a Welcome Text Message from an Ame SSC confirming their arrival and will provide additional instructions.

  • The guest will meet with our Ame Greeter on our front porch. The Ame Greeter will:
    • Confirm guest is wearing a mask. If the guest is not wearing a mask, a disposable make will be provided. Guests receiving color services will receive a disposable mask to change into.
    • Take the guest’s temperature.
      • If the temperature reads 100.3 or higher or if the guest answered yes to the above questions, the guest will be asked to cancel their appointment (without penalty) and a SSC will call them to reschedule their appointment.
    • Ask the guest to sanitize their hands with the touchless hand sanitizer.
    • If the guest arrives wearing gloves, request that they remove these gloves before entry. If the guest would feel more comfortable wearing gloves, Ame will provide a clean pair.
    • Ask the guest to sign a waiver.
      • The following questions are included in the waiver:
        • Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?
        • Do you at present, or have you recently had any respiratory, flu or COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) in the past 14 days?
        • Have you been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed or suspected exposure to Covid-19 within the last 14 days?

Ame reserves the right to not serve a guest whom Ame believes has an infectious, contagious, or communicable disease unless the guest can produce a physician’s certification that the client does not have an infectious, contagious, or communicable disease. 49 Pa. Code § 7.97.

  • Guest will then enter the building
  • SSC will check-in the guest.
  • A staff member will escort guests to our changing closet for guests to put on a smock. If the guest is receiving color services, the guest will exchange their cloth mask for the disposable mask received at the front door.
  • Unfortunately, as much as we would love to greet our guests with a handshake or a hug, the staff will refrain from doing so. We will, however, greet all of our guests with a warm smile and a twinkle in our eye!
  • In an effort to reduce the number of people handling retail products, your service provider or a SSC will select your at-home salon/spa care products from the shelves for you to purchase. 
  • Once your appointment is finished, your stylist/service provider will escort you to the Front Desk.
  • To allow for a touch less payment transaction, cash is not accepted at the Front Desk.
  • Payments will be collected via a credit card or Ame gift card.
    • Ideally, we would like to use the credit card on file (used to provide a reservation for the appointment). The SSC will verify the last four digits of your credit card. Once verified, then the card on file will be used to pay for the guest’s services.
  • Gratuities are accepted by using the stylist/service providers’ Venmo accounts. The guest must be prepared to provide exact cash for gratuity and use our current envelope system. The Front Desk is unable to make change at this time. Ame is unable to add gratuities to the credit card.
  • Sanitation Fee
    • There is a $5.00 Sanitation Fee imposed on each guest’s ticket for the added sanitation requirements and additional costs of doing business.
Staff Protective Gear and Safety Protocol
  • Our staff was re-trained on essential infection control and hand hygiene practices. Many of our stylist/service providers are now Barbicide Certified.
  • All Ame employees are expected to wear masks and will social distance as much as possible.
  • In some cases, it may be necessary for the employee to wear a face shield.
  • Employees will wear gloves when mandated by the CDC and State Board recommendations.
  • No sharing of capes or smocks.
  • All PPG such as gloves, capes, smocks, linens, etc. will be changed in between each client.
  • For salon and spa services, there will be no sharing of products or tools. (See information on our personal hair and nail kits available for sale).
  • All employees are expected to thoroughly wash their hands and/or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer often, for at least 20 seconds between every client service.
  • Plexiglass has been installed at the Front Desk Reception Desk and at the Manicure stations.
  • ALL surfaces, tools, and linens will be cleaned and disinfected in between every service and frequently throughout the day.
